Moshi Moshi Shibori in Canberra
“It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is.
And when you’ve got it, you want – oh you don’t quite know
what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it
so!!!” – Mark Twain
Spring is definitely my favorite season of the year. It
is the time when one sees the return of beautiful flora and fauna after the
long winter season.
In Europe, the beauty of tulips during Keukenhof
Festival in Holland and the Flower Tapestry in Belgium attracted millions of
tourists from all corners of the globe. The blossoming Sakura during Spring in
Japan successfully attracted millions of visitors annually. In the Southern
Hemisphere, the Floriade festival is the most enchanting festival of Tulips and
plants (http://www.floriadeaustralia.com).
Taking place in Canberra, Australia’s capital, the
month-long Floriade festival offers not only beautiful flowers but also music
and entertainment activities. I have
been a regular visitor to Floriade for three years in a row now and the
festival never fails to amaze me. The bed of tulips, composed of ravishing red
tulip, tempting fuschia tulip, snow white tulip and even the mystical violet
tulip are impeccably arranged.
When JET travels, he makes sure to pack only his best
wardrobe. What would be more befitting than wearing a monochromatic Indonesian
Shibori and Batik against the backdrop of vivid-colored flowers? JJJ

Ps. Catatan Kecil untuk Sahabat Desainers dan Rekans
Fashionista,
Setelah melalui proses revitalisasi oleh beberapa perancang
dan pengrajin kain Nusantara, Shibori kini menjadi the hottest fashion item di
Indonesia.
Jangan pernah lelah mempromosikan
karya-karya unggul fashion Indonesia dalam setiap kesempatan. When you travel
abroad, you have the golden opportunity to promote your country, including through
our attire. C’mon friends, let’s be a stunner during our round-the-world trips
by wearing the very best of Indonesian fashion.
Moshi moshi Shibori !!!

Life is one big ferris wheel
so make sure we always dressed up to the nines in it.
Red tulips always make a
glamorous backdrop for monochrome Shibori.
Ravishing and tempting red
tulips.
Gnome, gnome in the park…
Who’s the fairest of them
all?
Perhaps the gentleman in
Indonesian Shibori? J J J
Colorful Gnome is my kind of
squad.
Children with different age
groups colored most of these gnomes. Others are colored by members of charity
groups or sponsor companies.
Fuschia fever !!!
Orange tulip is the new
black, right guyz?!!!
Bed of tulips is what
romance is made for.
But first, let’s head to the
Café Sol.
The iconic Australia Fair
grand organ serenaded the visitors of Floriade.
Epic tulips with scenic Lake
Burley Griffin is a match made in heaven.
Snow white tulip is my
favourite.
Don’t you think she is the
fairest of them all?
“Look at her,
Amidst the dozens of red and
white tulips,
This one stands tall and
grand above the rest,
Not once that she conforms
and surrenders to her surroundings,
She keeps growing no matter
how hard it is,
And that is why she grew and
admired as a dazzling beauty.
Similar to my darling
friends,
Live a blooming life my
loved ones” – JET (November 2016)
