Always In Vogue With Lulu Lutfi Labibi
From Chanel to David Jones –Australia’s most
luxurious department store- to Louis Vuitton, from Prada to Louis Vuitton, each
fashion store hosts the Vogue Fashion Night Out with its own signature style.
Sydney’s Vogue Fashion Night Out is a part of the
global Vogue initiative which is also held in other capitals of fashion, e.g.
London, Paris and New York. The aim of VFNO is to celebrate and support the
fashion and retail industries with full-price shopping. During this one night
event, participating shops will offer special treats including champagne,
finger food, fashion show and music performance. All these are intended to
create buzz and attract larger crowds to the fashion industry.
JET has attended the VFNO twice and I must say that
this year’s VFNO is getting stronger and bigger, both with regard to the
strength of event as well as the major business sale. This was seen with
approximately 200.000 shoppers flocked to the VFNO in Sydney CBD area and each spent
around AU$300,- on that night.
Now, what is the best way to attend the fashion’s it
night than wearing an equally stunning outfit?!!!
Lulu Lutfi Labibi, an Indonesian designer whose
creations underline Lurik (striiped pattern hand-woven cloth), is my answer to
sparkle on the red carpet opening.
Needless to say more, the edgy look of my drape top
from Lulu Lutfi Labibi, or Triple L as I fondly call him, has absolutely
succeed in turning the most fashionable heads. Yiiippeee!
Dear friends, do not miss JET’s globe-trotting
fashion adventure in Australia, Indonesia and elsewhere.
Stay updated by adding me in instagram (@JETJAKARTA) and Facebook page (JET Fashion Diplomacy).
Ps. Catatan Kecil untuk Sahabats Fashionista dan
Desainers Indonesia, sejalan dengan himbauan Gubernur Jakarta, Bapak Basuki
Tjahaja Purnama yang akrab dipanggil Pak Ahok, agar Jakarta menjadi pusat mode
Asia, ayo kita bersama-sama upayakan event sekaliber Vogue Fashion Nights Out
AUD300. Singkatnya, penjualan satu malam saja menghasilkan AUD60 juta, atau
sekitar Rp600 milyar. Dari kecil, saya selalu diajarkan orangtua, kalau orang
lain bisa kenapa JET tidak bisa? Nah, jika Sydney dapat menjadi tuan rumah
Vogue Fashion Night Out, mengapa Jakarta tidak bisa? Let’s transform fashion as
Indonesian engine of growth! Let’s make it happen, Jakartans!

Well, mas Lulu, I guess you need to sell your designs
online so that my fab Aussie friends can enjoy dressing up in your
