My Batik & Cannoli Weekend with Adriano Zumbo!

During one very special weekend recently, JET was invited to attend the launch of Adriano Zumbo’s newest creation, Italian cannoli. Cannoli is a patisserie dessert which is treasured by the Italians, particularly those residing in the Southern part of the country, e.g. Napoli and Sicily.

Cannoli is an inherent part of La Dolce Vita a la Italiano. I can never forget my first encounter with a piece of cannoli during my summer break in Palermo a few years ago. It was sooo out-of-this-world delicious that I ended up having at least four pieces with each cup of cappuccino that I drank.

Zumbo (adrianozumbo.com), the much loved Australian chef and famous pattisier, infused new ideas on the cannoli as he applied soft serve ice cream, pomegranate, chocolate into traditional ricotta filling.

Now, what can be more appropriate than dressing up in a peach colored Indonesian Batik shirt with the famous Parang Rusak pattern (Broken Dagger in English), for this launch?!!!

Honestly, I received so many compliments by Zumbo and also other Sydney-sider fashionable attendees of the event who asked me where do I get this shirt.

Well, judging from these enthusiastic comments, JET’s Fashion Diplomacy has been rocking the Sydney fashion scene once again through fabulous Indonesian Batik!
