Indonesian Beauty Ayu Gani Wins Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3

In Wednesday evening, all Indonesians from Sabang to Merauke were thrilled to watch Ayu Gani’s shining moment as she was chosen as the winner of Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 (http://www.asntm3.com/) aired in Star World.

Gani, a nickname that is favoured by her family and friend, is the first Indonesian to ever win at the Asia’s Next Top Model. Naturally, Indonesian fashion industry is joyful and proud of Gani’s achievement.

Gani rose to prominence after defeating finalists from the Philippines and Singapore.

Alex Perry, a Sydney-based Australian renowned designer, along with other judges, including Georgina Wilson -Philippines It Girl- and Joey Mead King -international model- favored Gani due to her incredible talent and professionalism for elegantly dressing up in a haute couture evening gowns for photo shoot and catwalk.

As Asia’s Next Top Model, Gani becomes the new face of TRE Semme Hair Product campaign in 2015, appearing as the first Indonesian model to grace the cover of Singapore’s Harper Bazaar and a model contract with London-based Storm Model Management.

In quite a short span of time since beginning career as a model a few years back, Gani has remarkably added Who’s Who of Indonesian fashion industry in her portofolio, including working for the campaign and runway of Lulu Lutfi Labibi, Oscar Lawalata, Ivan Gunawan, Billy Tjong and Batik Keris.

As an Indonesian fashion blogger and style aficionado, I am sooo ecstatic to see a home-grown beauty wins this notable international pageant.
