Indonesian Batik a la Monsieur Vuitton
Indonesian Batik hits center
stage when Kim Jones, the creative director for Vuitton’s men’s line,
incorporated Indonesian Batik’s pattern into LV’s mens necessities such as
wool-based stole, glove and hat for the recent Autumn/Winter 2014/2015.
As an Indonesian, as well as a
Batik and Vuitton aficionado, naturally I am proud and ecstatic to witness that
Batik has been applied as a source of inspiration for this handsome collection
of the French leading fashion house.
This collection demonstrates the
transformation of Indonesian Batik from the world’s fourth most populous
country’s national icon and traditional cloth to global status symbol and
trendy fashion apparel.
What can be cooler, and warming
the body at the same time, than wearing this Batik patterned wool stole with
matching hat and gloves a la Monsieur Vuitton?
Saluting Mr Jones for this
dashing interpretation of Indonesian Batik into a wearable fashion outfits.
This Batik collection won’t last
forever as they have been put on waiting list for not only to Indonesian
fashion people but also to the trendy men, and their beautiful spouses, in the
world’s fashion capitals, Sydney, Paris, Rome, London, NYC, Tokyo, Jakarta and
so on and so forth.
So, why wait further then? Head
to your closest LV store!
A little note for Indonesian
designers, c’mon guyz, it’s time for you to create wool and cashmere based
Batik designs! Put forward your creativity and stay inspiring!
